Northern Chumash Tribal Council

For the Northern Chumash Tribal Council, I create and review content that communicates the organization's mission with care and accuracy. At the heart of this work is the proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary, the first Indigenous nominated national marine sanctuary in the United States, set to protect thousands of square miles of ocean along California's Central Coast. NCTC is a Native American tribe and nonprofit leader in cultural, community, and environmental advocacy, working to bring Chumash culture and heritage back to life and to protect sacred lands and coastal ecosystems. I help translate this mission into clear, respectful, and engaging communication that honors the voice and continuity of the Chumash people.
